A moment of gratitude for the strength, wisdom, and sacrifice Joe Biden has summoned to pass the baton to Kamala. He’s been a great president—currently ranked 14th by historians (Reagan is 16th) (Trump is ranked last). Check it out: The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project. Joe did the hard thing, the hardest thing, the stuff heroes are made of. You know every cell of his body wanted to stay in the fight, to save our democracy from the wrecking ball. And what about those Zooms! Zooms for Kamala this week broke records. There’s a new kid on the block and she’s firing back. Trump pouted at a rally, sarcastically quoting Harris, “I’m the prosecutor. He’s the convicted felon.” In a flash, Kamala was on X with an 8 second response; Trump’s words, plus “I’m Kamala Harris and I approve this message.” KamalaHQ

You’ve heard Republicans are experiencing buyer’s remorse with VP pick J.D. Vance? He gets creepier the more you look. For instance, he believes, in order to have “a healthy ruling class, we should support more people who actually have kids, because those are the people who ultimately have more of a direct stake in the future of this country…Childless adults hate normal Americans for choosing family,” they are different from “normal” people, people “who know where they came from.” He wants to give parents extra votes for each child. How do we think this will go over? Also. “A healthy ruling class”? There’s more where this comes from. The New Republic, The Washington Post

“If Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee, we will get a President Kamala Harris.” And. “The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins this election.” Nikki Haley quotes from earlier this year. NJ.com
