FOLLOWING THE MONEY

“Joe Biden’s fundraising is blowing Donald Trump out of the water.” Donations are accelerating, while Trump, the RNC, and GOP are weighed down with Trump’s legal bills. In February, Biden had $71 million in cash on hand. Trump had $33 million. Biden said in Wisconsin last week that he has 1.5 million donors. 500,000 are new, and 97% of the donations are under $200. Outside groups pledge over $1 billion to aid Biden’s re-election effort. The League of Conservation Voters, among the biggest spenders on progressive causes, is committing $120 million to President Biden and Democrats. “The sheer scale of what we’re talking about has never been seen before in our country’s history,” said Tiffany Muller, the president of End Citizens United. The NY Times

The Republican House Mess. The Republican House majority is down two more seats, as representatives leave before their terms expire.
Ken Buck quit, saying, “It is the worst year of the nine years and three months that I’ve been in Congress, and having talked to former members, it’s the worst year in 40, 50 years …” Buck’s departure further weakens Lauren Boebert’s re-election scramble. She was running for his seat. Now a special election will occur June 25th, complicating matters.

The House Oversight Committee’s worst day. Even Fox News covered Les Parnas’s opening statement, with his scathing accusations of Republican lies, calling out current and former members of The House and media. Parnas was hired by Guiliani to find Biden dirt, and after extensive searching in multiple countries, found none, saying the false narrative is Russian propaganda. Also, one of the House’s Republican witnesses, testifying from prison where he’s serving a 14-year sentence for financial fraud, added nothing factual to connect any Biden with any wrongdoing.
