The economic transformation in little towns, rural areas, and aging metro centers has been brought by new investment in plants, infrastructure projects and green energy related to the Chips Act. ADAM SHIFF HAS RAISED RECORD AMOUNTS in his Senate race, after the House censure for his role in Trump’s 2018 impeachment trial. Shiff brought in $8.1 million in the second quarter. The seat won’t change the Senate balance but indicates the Democratic will to fight Republican extremism, specifically Trump and his acolytes.

RIFTS IN THE OPPOSITION. Marjorie Taylor Greene was expelled from the House Freedom Caucus for calling Lauren Boebert a “little bitch” on the House floor, but also for her support of Kevin McCarthy.
DEMOCRAT CHALLENGING LAUREN BOEBERT RAISED 2.6 M in the second quarter. Adam Frisch came within 546 votes of Boebert in 2022. He’s taking aim again in 2024. His average donation was $32, from more than 81,000 individual donations.
